Jack Fruit Black Gold

Jack Fruit 'Black Gold' is an Australian variety with delicious small-sized fruit. Expect a bubblegum tasting golden flesh that has a firm texture (halfway between soft and crunchy).
Black Gold is reportedly more cold tolerant than other jackfruit types, and is known to be an early season producer more suitable for subtropical climates. A great option for the warmer locations in the North Island.

Firm texture, neither dry or sloppy.
Strong bubblegum flavour.
Grown outside in a shaded area
Dwarf growth habit, bushing out rather than growing straight up. Potential height of 2x2m.
Australia origin.
Plants are currently around 30+cm and over a year old.

Jack Fruit Gold Nugget

Gold Nugget cultivar originating from Australia.
Dwarf/compact growth habit compared to other types.
Firm golden flesh, neither crunchy nor sloppy.
Fruits average around 3-4kg, which is ideal in the NZ climate.
Strong bubblegum, fruity flavour.
Plants are approximately 30+cm above the soil and over a year old.

***Jackfruit requires a frost-free and well-draining location, whether that be in the ground in the North Island or in a container anywhere that is protected from frosts and excess rain. They do not always grow true to type but generally retain their parents characteristics.***

Plants will be similar in height and appearance of the image shown. Because they are grown outside, there may be the odd blemish on a leaf, however I'll always pick the nicer of the lot before listing for sale.
